ABOUT US
Welcome to the official website of CyberStingers Blue – FTC Team 5979. As part of the FIRST Tech Challenge, we design, build, and program advanced robots that compete at the highest levels. From local outreach to the world stage, we’re driven by innovation, teamwork, and the passion to make STEM accessible to everyone.
We are the varsity-level robotics team of Thomas County Central High School. Since our founding, we’ve pushed the boundaries of what a student-led team can achieve—winning awards for design, innovation, and outreach while mentoring future engineers in our community.
Every project we undertake is a unique opportunity to showcase our skills and exceed expectations. Our mission is to empower students to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world problem-solving.
MEET US
Our strength lies in our diverse and talented team. Meet the creative minds behind our success, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to redefine digital excellence.

Impact
STEMQUEST
We created STEM QUEST, a monthly lab where middle school students design, code, and build projects that grow into a full FTC-style robot. This program gives them a pathway into robotics and builds their confidence in STEM.
